    Cilka’s Journey Longlisted for the 2021 DUBLIN Literary Award!

    Cilka’s Journey is one of 49 books nominated by libraries around the world for the 2021 DUBLIN Literary Award, sponsored by Dublin City Council. Now in its 26th year, this Award is the world’s most valuable annual prize for a single work of fiction published in English. All the longlisted works have been nominated by libraries from 30 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, the US & Canada, South America and Australia & New Zealand.  Cilka’s Journey was nominated by the State Library of Victoria, as the winner of the state-wide public librarian vote process undertaken to decide Victoria’s nominee for the Awards.     Heather’s sequel to The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Cilka’s Journey has been shortlisted at the Plebiscycie Książka Roku 2020 Awards! The Plebiscycie Książka Roku is in it’s sixth year and is the largest Book Awards decided by the public in Poland. Last year the Awards counted a quarter of a million votes to decide the winners and this year they are expecting even more!     Tattooist of Auschwitz shortlisted for Glass Bell Award in UK

    Announced at midday on Thursday 1st August in the UK, Heather and the team were delighted to learn that The Tattooist of Auschwitz has been shortlisted as one of six novels for the 2019 Goldsboro Glass Bell Award. The prize, which is judged by Goldsboro Books founder and MD David Headley and his team at the bookshop, sees the winner awarded £2,000 and a beautiful, handmade, engraved glass bell.
