Magda Guttman passes
It is with profound sadness that I let you know Magda Guttman z”l died on May 1st, aged 98. She was at home in Holon, Israel, her two daughters Chaya and Judith (Ditti) with her. It was, of course, reading my first novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, which lead the family of Livia Ravek to reach out to me and whose story, when I met them, I simply knew I had to tell. I can’t wait to share the story of Cibi, Magda and…
