“Cilka’s Journey” shortlisted for Polish Book of the Year Awards!

Heather’s sequel to The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Cilka’s Journey has been shortlisted at the Plebiscycie Książka Roku 2020 Awards!

The Plebiscycie Książka Roku is in it’s sixth year and is the largest Book Awards decided by the public in Poland. Last year the Awards counted a quarter of a million votes to decide the winners and this year they are expecting even more!

From the Awards website: “The nominated titles were the most read and best rated by Internet users in the difficult year 2020. Now, together, we will select and distinguish those books which, according to readers, deserve the title of Books of the Year 2020.”

Due to the pandemic, the results will be announced online in a virtual Awards Ceremony (instead of their usual in-person Gala) on March 8.
